Property ID : Villa Dharma
For rent - Detached Villas
Villa to rent in South East Sardinia. I have the pleasure to propose my family holiday villa for rent in the gorgeous Torre delle Stelle. The village is located half way between Cagliari and Villasimius.
Splendid villa to rent in South East Sardinia with private swimming pool and luscious garden. The villa is surrounded by an enchanting mature garden with lots of Mediterranean shrubs and mature trees. The position of the villa makes it ideal for anyone looking for a very relaxing holiday possibly car-free. Villa Dharma is in fact located at just 300 m from a gorgeous white sandy beach, Genn’e Mari. The nearest supermarket, bar, restaurant and pizzeria are approximately 100 m away. Everything can be reached on foot. However, should you decide to rent a car to explore the many natural and historic beauties that South Sardinia has to offer, Villa Dharma also offers the benefit of off street parking. The water in the pool is salted which makes it healthier and more suitable for people with sensitive skin or allergic to chemicals.
The accommodation of Villa Dharma is on two floors. The ground floor comprises of:
- dining living room with fireplace and access to a large covered veranda that overlooks the luscious garden and the pool. This veranda is really like an open dining-living room. The veranda also has a built in barbecue and a full shower room (the blue one in the pictures). There is also an outside shower room.
The first floor comprises of:
- 3 bedrooms (two double and one with bunk bed)
- 2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is en-suite to the master bedroom.
The master bedroom and the room with bunk beds have French doors to a shared veranda from where you can see the sea.
The third bedroom also has an independent entrance.
A few more information…
My husband and I purchased this gorgeous villa to rent in South East Sardinia 13 years ago now. Initially it was used exclusively for our own family holidays. We have in fact very many happy memories here with our children, our family and our friends. Since we have moved back to the UK and we can only use the villa a couple of weeks a year we decided to let other families enjoy its peace and beauty.
When we lived in Italy Villa Dharma used to be our main residence 3 months a year. After we purchased it we had a pool built and we totally refurbished the interior. The pool was built mainly to entertain our children while I worked on my computer in the veranda. My husband and I are estate agents and this villa to rent in South East Sardinia provided the ideal setting for our work. We specialise in selling and renting second homes in Sardinia. We instantly fell in love with it and with Torre delle Stelle. It really is unlike any other place in Sardinia. It is a real joy for nature lovers and for people that are not too keen on hotels and the likes. The village makes you feel as if you were in the countryside and yet on the seaside.
Torre delle Stelle is an environmentally protected area and its beauty has been enchanting visitors since it was created about 40 years ago to the point that it has now become one of the most sought after areas of South Sardinia. It has 2 easily accessible sandy beaches named Genn’e Mari and Cannesisa. There are also a few sandy and rocky coves that can be reached by boat, with a canoe or swimming.
Shops, bars and restaurants.
There are shops, restaurants, bars and pizzeria in the village. However, since Torre delle Stelle is only partly inhabited all year round shops and restaurants are not opened every day of the year. They usually open 7 days a week from early May to end of October. For the rest of the year they open from Friday to Sunday included. It is therefore possible to stock up with groceries and food during the weekend or else go to the supermarket on the way to Cagliari which is a mere 15 minutes drive. Beach bars open from June to September. The bar near the villa opens from Easter to October.
The nearby sandy beach is absolutely gorgeous and the sea is very safe for children. I have been holidaying here since my youngest child was 6 months old and my eldest 3. I still believe that it would have been difficult to find a better location for us.
Amenities and what to do…
Snorkelling and scuba diving are a real delight in both beaches. Torre delle Stelle also has a scuba diving school that amongst other things organises deep-sea excursions for experienced scuba-divers. A real favorite in the area is an ancient warship located 1.5 miles away from the beach and 56 m down the sea.
Other amenities in the village include: tennis courts, football pitch, basketball grounds and playground.
